Good to meet you Armando, going by your cv you have a great passion for cars and obviously know a bit about them. I am at the opposite end of car knowledge, check water , oil, turn key and hopefully she starts.. Its great to see that you have taken interest on a welding board and as i say to my kids if you dont know just ask. That is the best part of most boards is to ask and share info from people everywhere. rvk355......vk as in vk calai......355---355ci .....what does the R represent? Armando, its great to have on this forum and maybe this may encourage others to sign up and register.

Hi Mark Welcome to our ever increasing group. Tells us about your projects and problems . We are here as a co operative effort and at some stage we will be helped or help somebody else.
Theres an instruction on how to upload piccies and if I can manage it any one can do it. Thanks to RVK for showing us that one.

Hi to all, In this ''general'' section you can discuss any topic that is not related to welding. This is a space provided to all to talk about anything be it a hobby topic, general interest, sport, news events or what ever may be on your mind. This can be a good way to get the ball rolling for those who have recently signed up. It is also place to to share another interest apart from welding. You may find that someone may have the same interest as you and therefore the board can become a bit more of a social spot. So rack the brains a bit add something to this section.

Hi all,
Im Damien (Damo) and im more into maintenance and small engineering jobs.
Im a qualified motor mechanic but have done very little on cars as such as I have done most of my years working on golf course equipment, Earthmoving machines, trucks and tractors.
Looks to be some great information on this forum and if it is ok with you guys I would like to post a link to here in our associations (VTETA) home page and forum.
Most of the welding I do nowdays is with a MIG (which im in the process of buying a Kemppi miniarcMig 180 to replace our old worn out Boss 200) though I have mostly used stick welders in the past doing onsite repairs and fabrication.
Im not so much into fast cars and burnouts these days, but I did a bit with 355 strokers in comodes in the past as well as a little club racing in ricers as well as lottttts of 4wding which is my main hobby still.
Cheers Damo
