As a teacher of 33 years and a welder and fabricator of long standing I am not happy with some of the content or standards of how to welding videos.
Many training videos are out dated and presented by characters dressed in and a dustcoat and shirt and tie. That alone immediately reduces my confidence on the ability or knowledge such a presenter who is then has a role, little better than a talking head.
For an activity when I retire, my interests are in producing some welding know how CD.s and DVD's with useful training materials.
While I have know I won't have problems with the content, I don't know enough about potential markets and what the actually customer need or wants.I b have an idea ,but want to confirm it.
I seek feed back as to how diyers want the information presented .1 DVD split up into segments that are short but informative.
I realise many DIYers are not close to or do not have the opportunity to attend a Tafe' course, so to buy a book or a DVD or video is the next best thing and will offer the DVD and CD solution.

I seek feed back as to :
• What you what to learn about – stick ,Mig, oxy,tig
• The form of media you would wish to see it in
• The purchase price you would be prepared to pay
I envision a series solely for the Diy person on DVD or CD, either videos or text and photos, on Theory and practical how to for Stick ,Mig and Oxy Welding , Oxy cutting and Safety for each process.
Here is an opportunity to have an input.
Thanks Grumpy
