Hi all, I have been looking at alternative cutting compounds to use with steel or alum cutting wheels and even flap discs. There is a work collegue that i know and one of his past times is getting a surf in whenever he can. Whilst at home doing some metal project for himself he decided to apply some of his surf board wax to his cutting disc. He applied by simply turning on his 4'' grinder with cutting wheel gently touching the wax. He then proceeded to cut the his piece of rhs to length and to his surprise if cut quicker and the cutting disc less glogged. For the job that he was doing the surf board wax had no affect on the welding and besides all material should be cleaned despite using any sort of lubricant. He also did not use too much of his wax as he was planning to go for a surf durring the week..
